Abizyl

Piracy

A new pirate queen has claimed a significant amount of territory in the Abizyl seas. Captain Elizabeth “Red Beth” Cope has killed Captain Radley “Black Sabre” Sagar through a surprising tactic of turning his crew against him. It is believed Red Beth was able to do so through contacts made at the Underlings' Union by her own exceedingly loyal crew. It is believed that Red Beth aims to have territory across most of the Nequal seas. With her previous captain John Deadsea's territory and now also Black Sabres, we have no doubt this pirate queen will have a lot left to show us.

Community Reform

A strange new form of outreach has started to appear in Abizyl. Since the producers of YatterTV started running a “community service” punishment scheme for the Yattermain, other institutions have started implementing similar programmes. The Cult of the Unknown have a new prophyte interested in punishing neophytes by teaching them loyalty through hard work. If you have something that would benefit from extra volunteers please contact the Community Service Reform Committee to inform them.

Strange Skies

“An increase in activity in space has been picked up by the Cult of the Celestapod. Dr Moonrose appears to be launching attacks on spaceways held by the Yattermain. The Yattermain appear to be holding their territory currently but with more of them spending an increasing amount of time on Nequam, we cant help but wonder how long this stalemate will last.”

Weightier Whales

A study of marine biological records from the past 90 years has shown a trend towards all Cetacean becoming larger and slower. The researcher, one Stevi Baleen of the Cult of the Beloved Depths believes this to be down to the Faceless Eater.

“As I understand it the early Underlings Union convinced the Lord of Worms to only eat villains that tried to kill it and supplement its hunger elsewhere, this led to a significant artificial decrease in the population of Aquatic super predators such as the Megalodon, Kraken, and Acutidenasaurus due to the Faceless Eater consuming significant enough of them over the years to cause a likewise artificial change in the survival habits of most whales. This has allowed larger examples of the various species to survive to breeding age and thus made for the populations as a whole to become bigger over the years.”
