You are hereby invited to the inaugural general meeting of the Underlings Union. As well as voting on Union business, this will be an excellent opportunity to meet other people in our line of work. We look forward to meeting you all soon.”

“MINION! Put down whatever it is you're reading and fetch me my robes. I will not be getting blood on my gown again.”

You sigh and put down the letter. “Yes, your magnificence.”

Underlings is a fortnightly parlour LARP (Live-Action Role Playing game) run for the Oxford LARP Society. You will play as an Underling serving a villain, trying to balance your personal life with following the orders of your master, all while laying the foundation of the new Underlings Union.

The game will take place fortnightly, starting on Wednesday, July 31st 2024, at the Asian Cultural Centre in Oxford. There will be a character creation session on July 17th where you can meet some of the GMs and get help with making a character. You do not need to attend the character creation session to play the game, but it's a great chance to find out more, especially if you're new to LARPing.

This game is inspired by the Oxford University RPGSoc 'Society Game' format. For new players, we recommend checking out our Introduction page, or get a feel for the game on the Style and Tone page. Otherwise you can jump straight into some of the setting details, like the game world or the Union. Then find out how to make a character over at character creation.
