To create a characer, follow the guide below and submit a character using our submission form. If you have any questions about your character, feel free to come along to our character creation session (see when and where) or email the GM team at gm@underlings.oxfordlarp.com. Characters need to be submitted by Tuesday 23rd July.

Your character's name and pronouns. You may also want to include a nickname if that's relevant. Names are very varied - this might be a common modern day IRL (e.g. Lucy Smith), or might be something more eccentric (e.g. High Priestess Ogronir, First Emmisary of The Fierce One).

A short background of your character (you can choose to write a longer backstory, but the GM team won't necessarily read it all). This should include some of your character's backstory, what their current situation is, and how they ended up as an Underling.

Either make your own, or pick one of the main villains in a genre.

Pick some quirks - what make your character special. Positive Quirks are tools you'll be able to use in the game. Negative Quirks are issues you'll encounter, throwing a spanner in the works. You get 4 points of positive Quirks, plus up to another 6 points by taking the same number of points of negative Quirks. You may take an extra 4 negative points if you are feeling masochistic. Many of these Quirks also need a description, e.g. your phobia, dark secret, or specific weakness.

Select 1-5 for each of the playstyle options.

• Chances of Success (1 = low chance of success, 5 = high chance of success)
• Darkness of Themes (1 = generally happy themes, 5 = really dark themes)
• Ballgowning (1 = no ballgowning, 5 = yes ballgowning)
