With the abrupt disappearance - and presumed death - of both Union president Violet Malikat and her political rival Mizzinx Magubbins, an emergency election has been held for a new president. The campaign was heavily influenced by the earlier election, and in particular, Mizzinx's pro-warcrimes attitude attracted a lot of support from more violent underlings who had felt they were being ignored by the moderate committee.

The eventual victor was one Talos Richardson, of the Rosergram Corporation, a private military company based in Central. He had this to say, in his inaugural speech.

"The people have spoken, and I am here to fulfil that mandate! People have been calling the Underlings' Union soft! We couldn't protect Malicia's underlings, they say! Our safe houses aren't safe! Well, I'm happy to say that those times are done. Under my leadership, we'll be taking a harder line with villains, and we'll be offering support to any and all war crimes committed in the defence of underlings or our interests!"

====A Goblin Funeral====

"As Willow has explained the volcano, and what happened to Mizzinx, it has been decided that we will have a barbecue to celebrate her life. Find and bring some cow and the biggest river fishie you can find. And potatoes. And worms. Everyone should have a full belly to take the memory of Mizzinx with them. We even have a special treat from the Harmony place that Willow brought with them for the funeral barbecue. A soft sweet tasty thing you set fire to before eating it, the marshed mellow will be an excellent addition to the send off for the goblin."
