Carnage in Abizyl

The Temple of the Unknown one in Abizyl is closed for further notice. - Abizyl Advertiser

Rumour has it there was a huge turf war between a bunch of new cults trying to take over the temple. Whatever happened in there is big, the whole of the neighbourhood is currently off limits. The leader of the Shimmering wall tourist board, a temple Junior for the resident cult, and a neophyte for the faceless eater were apparently all horribly murdered before the panic with many other missing presumed dead and injured from the ensuing riot. Each of the cults is swearing retribution on the others to anyone who will listen, and vengeance for Scott Smith. Huh.

Glassworkers strikes continue

A wave of support for the glass workers strikes has occurred this week, with hundreds of windows being broken across Nequam. There are even reports of other types of glass exploding in Harmony, in a seeming vendetta against cafés and restaurants in particular. An anonymous tip from inside Abizyl Glass suggests that an agreement is on the brink of being planned, after the death 2 weeks ago of an employee and the rising gap in supply and demand. Union leader Frederick Malady has this to say: “We do not condone illegal vandalism but appreciate the support we are receiving from the public and our fellow unions.”

Big Screen Conclusion

The thrilling conclusion to the Tenebrific Drama series was released to thunderous applause in the Centre Stage Stadium of Epicentre recently. Believed to have been brought back in response to the largest riot seen in Nequam for the last decade in protest of its apparent cancellation, the story arc has come to a satisfying end as the two Queens have reconciled their differences and jointly strode forth to destroy several lesser territories of the Tenebrific Mountains. How romantic!

Dragon Forecast

Welcome to this week's coverage of the Dragon Forecast, for all the latest info on Dragon incidents near you. Reports are in that incidents involving the dragon known locally as “Goldie” have been on the decline recently. However attacks involving Razeraith have seen a sharp uptick recently. As such, our experts are predicting less overall dragon attacks, but that those that do happen are likely to be more severe.

Recent trackiugn suggests Razeraith attacks have also generally been more localised in the Tenebrific mountians, particularly in areas closest to it's cave, which is where the current streak of attacks began from just a few short weeks ago. There are some hopes this change in trajectory might indicate an end in sight, but given the increase in severity officials are warning to stay vigilant.

Riots in Epicentre!

Multiple riots have occurred over the last fortnight. It seems that the news broadcast networks are having a glut of uprisings, punch-ups, and property destruction. Through the main Epicentre, down the coast, and between Villains, there are scuffles, cries, and hazardous villainous rivalries and romances. There seem to be multiple factions involved, some of mysterious purposes. The press can hardly keep up with them all.

Old-fashioned Villains in the woods are annoyed

Creatures that drink blood and creatures that howl under the moon are making a ruckus. People from the Quiverwoods seem to be more fearful than usual, despite the recent establishment, The Celestial Hospital, apparently going strong and improving the number of people reached and patients treated. Really, though, they don't feature in many media broadcasts. Travellers to Harmony and other parts of Nequam report broad dissatisfaction and disturbances, with a villainous attitude seemingly on the increase. These vampires and werewolves or whatever don't even let journalists into their castles, manors, and “hunting grounds”, though and their idea of photography is someone standing behind a thing on a tripod covered in a black sheet, so the news filtering out to the rest of Nequam is one of a simple message: the old villains are becoming turbulent again.
