The game has already begun, but you are still welcome to submit characters and join at any time you want!
To create a character, follow the guide below and submit a character using our submission form. As the game has started, we're not actively monitoring this form, so please email us at gm@underlings.oxfordlarp.com if you have submitted a character to make sure we see it! You're also welcome to email us if you have any questions about how to create your character.
Your character's name and pronouns. You may also want to include a nickname if that's relevant. Names are very varied - this might be a common modern day IRL (e.g. Lucy Smith), or might be something more eccentric (e.g. High Priestess Ogronir, First Emissary of The Fierce One).
A short background of your character (you can choose to write a longer backstory, but the GM team won't necessarily read it all). This should include some of your character's backstory, what their current situation is, and how they ended up as an Underling. Feel free to include any important people to you character. Just like your Villain, these people may appear as NPCs during sessions if they become relevant to the plot.
This is also a good place to put any character goals you have (both IC and OC) if you have them, so we know what you or your character is hoping to achieve over the game. This of course may change completely during the course of the game, or you might not have any specific goals at game start, so no pressure to have to include anything specific.
A short biography of your character, which will be visible to everyone - just a quick introduction, and just things that others could reasonably easily find out.
Either make your own, or pick one of the main Villains in a genre.
Pick some quirks - what make your character special. Positive Quirks are tools you'll be able to use in the game. Negative Quirks are issues you'll encounter, throwing a spanner in the works. You start with 4 free points to spend on positive Quirks, but you can spend up to an extra 6 points (for a maximum of 10) by taking negative Quirks to balance out the additional positive Quirks. While you can only gain back 6 points by taking negative Quirks, you may, if you are feeling particularly masochistic, take up to 4 points of extra negative Quirks just for fun.
Select 1-5 for each of the playstyle options.
